The traffic-free North End Road seasonal markets are a great platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs. That’s the word from local trader and African food connoisseur Tieyan Eweka.
Tieyan is the founder of authentic Nigerian street food outlet Jollof Mama who is back serving up her delicious dishes at the upcoming North End Road Spring Market on Saturday 17 March with a timely St Patrick’s Day twist.
It will be an extra special day for the Jollof Mama founder as St Patrick is also the patron saint of Nigeria.
“The seasonal markets in North End Road have become a great place and platform for small businesses and local entrepreneurs to showcase their products,” said Tieyan. “There is a real buzz in the air during the traffic-free markets and I am really looking forward to the upcoming Spring Market. It should be a lot of fun.”
Working alongside her husband Samuel, she’s enjoyed some bumper days of trading since the White City resident began taking part in the seasonal markets two years ago.
